澳洲原住民美食「巫蠐螬（Witchetty grub）」，是一種體型肥白的飛蛾幼蟲，居於Witchetty樹的根部，以樹汁為食。其富含蛋白質，生食味同杏仁；亦可烘烤後熟食，則外層焦脆如烤雞皮，內肉猶似蛋黃。（「蠐螬」，在中文裡，原指金龜子的幼蟲，與飛蛾幼蟲無關。可能因為其外型與Wichetty grub極為神似，不少中文媒體將Wichetty grub翻譯為「巫蠐螬」。）
The Aboriginal Australian traditional cuisine, Witchetty grub, is the larva of moth living inside the Witchetty tree roots and feeding on the sap. It contains high protein. The raw Witchetty grubs taste like almonds, while the cooked ones are like egg yolks with crispy roast chicken skin.
